I was watching a show on the Food Netwook and it said it takes 4 cups of powdered sugar to make 1 pound. But I know that 1 pound is the same as 16 oz., which is the same as two cups. So is it 2 cups or 4 cups?

Four cups =1 lb. in powdered sugar. Not like granulated sugar which is heaver and coarse in texture. Powdered sugar is ground ultra fine with cornstarch or other additive added to make it pourable.

And the answer is 3 3/4 cups. I happen to have a two pound bag which contains 30 - 1/4 cup servings or 7.5 cups.
