A SMALL amount, probably not, but I wouldn't chance it! Penicillin is actually mold. Of course, not all mold is penicillin, and if you happen to be allergic to the mold you eat, you might be in trouble.

One should never eat any kind of foods that have molds on it. If you do, you can get sick because molds are one of the worse things that can impact our immune systems. If you do eat moldly foods you will normally always get a cold as the virus that causes the common cold always live in molds. And, I am fully aware that some foods are made during the molding process like cheese, but these foods ideally should be eaten after they have been cooked, or added to other foods that will be cooked. Molds have also been known to cause behavior problems in children and also adults. Some scientist feel that a large percentage of people who are incairated suffer from chronic mold problems and infestations. (Just think that one of the worse things that can happen to your house is for there to be an infestation of molds for whatever reason. Normally, the house has to be cleaned, disinfected, and sometimes the residents actually have to live elsewhere because of the toxicity of the molds. Compare this to you eating these same kind of parasites and toxins, which are the only two causes of diseases.) One certainly has to be careful that children do not eat moldly foods and one has to look out for the elderly not to eat moldly foods as well. One thing that is very good at killing molds is powdered vitamin C. Foods like nuts and some fruits can be soaked in water and powdered vitamin C for about 20 minutes to kill off any molds. Also, it can be added to some foods like pastas while it is being cooked to help kill off any molds. Foods like honey has molds in it as well and powdered vitamin C should be added to it to help kill off the molds. I have gotten my information from the work of Dr. Hulda R. Clark, Ph.D., N.D., mainly her flagship book, "The Cure For All Diseases." See the link below. To say the least, molds are very detrimental to our health and should never be consumed. And, we should supplement with a good quality powdered Vitamin C as well to help keep our immune system strong from the molds that we get from foods, that we can not see. Another very moldy food is store brought breads (because it is normally in an air tight package which allows the molds to develop) which should be avoided as much as possible.
