If you are 18 you are an adult. Call a local insurance company and tell them you would like to get a policy on a vehicle. If it is just a "beater" I would suggest getting collision only, it would be alot cheaper. I would not suggest no insurance, it is a good way to get you license suspended! Remeber make sure the car is not too bad you will have to call you parents to pick you up when it breaks down!

You're 18, you can buy insurance legally. But in a crappy car, and going out of the country... I am getting a headache just thinking of all the ways your parents will have to come and bail you out of this.

There isnt a legal way to do it. You most likely wouldnt be able to purchase a car without some sort of insurance.

running away from home is not a very good idea.... just think about it you have a bed to sleep in... you can get a job and just move out of state or just get two jobs so your never home.... and save some money and if your 18 they cant say anything anyways because your an adult now.

well try to call progressive and insure under your name ask them if its legal and second try to go to any auction site and get a good salvage car that its not very damaged www.ridesafely.com but always think twice and ask your parents for their opinion first.
