I would thank my friend for saying something no matter how dumb in my sound when my oldest (who has Autism) was this age I thought he acted differently mainly sociably but no would say anything family criticized me for letting scream (like I wasn't doing my best) then he got diagnosed and everyone said I thought he acted different .they also though I was crazy and said rude things like when I tried to get My son title19 waiver why does he need that he's not impaired enough to get that. he'll be fine. however he did get it and now that he is older you can see he is making progress but is a Little behind..3mths is still alittle young but I would just keep a close eye on her and if your doctor doesn't special in Autism or diagnosing it they may say she is fine even if she does have it mine did.So you'll have to see a specialist.I have included some web sites that may help you below..My son was diagnosed at 21mths old. Which is right around the 2 mark so this is probably the earliest you will get any answers for sure sorry but I hope ..I helped.anymore ? feel free to click on my profile and email me.

I don't think it should go so far as autism yet, but then there's the "not blinking".
The human eye is sensitive. Blinking is a natural procedure that balances out the eye's need for air vs. the act of cleaning the eye from whatever material may fall into it.
If your child stares off, that's one thing. But not blinking is a detail that could say a lot about the condition your child's eyes are in.
Maybe it's nothing at all, no problem whatsoever, and nothing to worry about.
But just in case, you may want to visit a pediatrician or an eye specialist.

My 4 1/2 month old daughter will stare of into space every once in awhile, just like adults do and she is perfectly healthy. Take your grandaughter to her pediatrician at her regular check up and ask him about it. Unless she is exhibiting other behaviours not typically "normal" for a baby, I wouldn't worry to much about it till I talked to him.

She is 3 monthes old. She can't walk or talk yet. You'll know in a few years if she is or now. Loose the friend. She is stupid for saying that and making you worry about it.

That's not a sign of autism, and at three months old, she is way too young for an autism diagnosis.
However, I would ask a doctor anyway, just to rule out absence seizures. ( http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org/answerplace/Medical/seizures/types/genConvulsive/seizureabsence.cfm ) They usually appear after four years of age, but you might want to check, just in case.

She also may just be a particularly thoughtful baby. It's way to early to start jumping to conclusions like that.
