Go halfway down and watch the thurman scrivner video. save it to disk, and u need real one available at sidroth.org

Because everyone I asked has had an excuse not to watch it, didnt care to, etc. THIS IS PROOF you say you all seek. But do u seek proof? When it is offered, no one watched!

Why are u so closed minded, yet claim to be the open minded ones?? Anyone see the irony here? I have learned alot tonight about u people.

This video must've been very profound to you...You and I don't share the same beliefs, but I really don't understand the people who can look at all this and say it was just happenstance that brought it all about. They have no more proof of their position then we do of ours. No reason any of us should be closed minded. Plus you have to remember that most of the atheists here are looking for either validation of their opinions by others who share their ideas or just to taunt those with differing opinions. Best to let it go and go on, neither side will ever win this debate.

Opinion isn't proof. Give scientific PROOF. Show us data. Chemistry, biology, hell even mathematics/physics.

That's proof. Some nutcases personal opinion isn't proof.

Your claims about Atheists being closed minded dont hold water because, yet again, you're asking an Atheist to take what you say on faith.

You say my spells mean nothing because I could have gotten the same result anyway. Well, hey guess what, your prayers mean nothing because you could have gotten the same result anyway.

It's NOT PROOF.

Edit: Why do you think that I didn't watch the video? Because I don't believe what was said? What are YOU afraid of? I posted a 2 hour video explaning why creationism is wrong and not a single Christian watched it.

I'm not afraid of you and I'm not afraid of your god. But the fact that you keep acting like a 5 year old goading people on is beginning to become extremely annoying.

I think that a closed minded Athiest is worse than a close minded Christian. I think that people that are closed to there actually being a creator, even though we can see the evidence of it every day, everywhere. Some people are Athiest because at least this way they are not accountable to anyone other than themselves.

What a ridiculous assertion. An atheist only becomes an atheist after he has exhausted his efforts to find some sort of validity in religion. That makes atheists inherently open minded. As far as your web site videos being proof of anything: just how dumb are the people who swallow this stuff! Do they not know anything about statistics. For every anecdotal outcome where somebody beats the odds like that, you will find a thousand similar situations where people prayed their faces off and nothing happened. If you present them out of that context you create an illusion that something special is going on. Please look up the word 'proof' in the dictionary before using it again.

I watched the video and answered your question. It proved nothing to me since it's just another story about an amazing recovery where there seems to be no 'real' answer so a religious person says that PROVES it was God. The guy just happened to pray the entire time like millions of other people do and some get the result they want and some don't. It could have been God but it doesn't prove it was God.

yeah, i just finished watching this. all 29min 16sec

This DOES NOT PROOVE ANYTHING. The video is basicaly about a grandfather that lost his wife, and grand kids. He walks into the hospital and sees his granddaughter totally disfigured (face bones totally crushed, and all bones all over body crushed and shattered), basically totally destroyed by a car accident. The doctors tell him to pull the plug on them because they cannot live anymore. they will be vegetables n disfigured. Very sad story indeed.

BUT. here is when the video turns super FAKE. The man refuses to pull plug on his granddaughter. suddenly OUT OF NOWHERE. his granddaughter's broken bones regenerate out of nowhere. and the next day, there are no signs of any wounds whatsoever. Ok, you might believe this if you are a psycho, or just living in a fairytale. but in reality, this makes no sense.

What the OP is claim proof of god. I do not see any proof in this video. it is only the "story" of one religious nut on a religious show for other religious nuts.

If "god" can do miraculous healings like this, then why are there children in simliar cases not so lucky. does your god not love them enough? are they children of non-christian parents, so thats why jesus didnt want to save them? PLEASE. THIS IS TOTAL B.S.

It is interesting when he says
"This book (bible) is the only reality in the world"
I dont even think i need to point out the irony in that sentence.

I am not an atheist or a Christian, but I think I have your answer. I watched most of that video. Besides being boring, it is just silly, and it proves nothing. Let me explain. If I tried to convince you that I have a unicorn you would think I was crazy, becaue you know from your life experience that unicorns don't exist. No matter how hard I try to convince you, you would never buy it. At some point I would throw my hands up and say you are closed minded. That is how atheist feel about God. Just like no amount of "evidence" will convince you that God is a fictional character like a unicorn, no amount of "evidence" will convince them he isn't. Both positions are not really worth arguing about or defending, because neither side wants to see the others' point, only to disprove it. The only truly open minded position is one of agnosticism.

I feel that I am a very open minded athiest; If I wasn't I would have complained immedately. I am watching the video (I had to make myself dl realone *shudder*) and I think it's great that his granddaughter survived that accident, and the grandfather had a hell of a lot of faith, but I am not feeling any kind of connection between god, the bible and the accident. The girl was assisted with medicine during the whole ordeal, and perhaps the positive thinking of "she's going to get better" did it.

If you buy this as "proof of God", than this world is worse than I thought.

Let's for arguments sake assume that God healed this person. Of course there is no proof of that, but elt's assume it's true.

That means your God has the power to heal. To rescue people. Cool.

Yesterday 40,000 young children died of starvation, aids and hunger. What? They didn't pray hard enough? They had faith in the wrong God? God seems to have the power to save them, to heal them and to rescue them, like you just "proved" us.

Yeps, I am atheist. If I were to believe at some point in my life in a Higher Power, it for sure won't be a Higer Power that has any influence in our daily lives. That's just utter nonsense. If it were true, it would make your God a horrible God.

I think there should be a law against these type of video's btw. There will be people watching this nonsense, believing that God will help them in curing their disease. They will stop using medication, because your God will cure them anyway.

These video's kill people with that. It's as simple as that.

If you call this 'closed minded', then I am proud to fall under your definition of 'closed minded'

Hmph.

It couldn't possibly be that the little girl could have survived at least partly because the powers of science and medicine actually worked, could it?

This is not proof of anything. It is a claim without substantiation. If granddad had been making is prayers to Odin and the same thing happened, would you have given credit to Odin?

I think not.
