i used to go to temple until my mom died when i was 7. and i stopped going after that because my dad isnt religious. then when i was 12 i started going to my friends church and i kept going until i was 15 because i felt so accepted, but the problem is i never really agreed with a lot of what was told to me at temple or church. i believe in a higher power but im very skeptical about religion from books and things created by man. How can i find a belief that i can truly agree with and not have to question?

Read about the different religions and see if any "resonate" with you. If you find yourself reading up on say, old Norse religion, and you think "Wow, this makes sense! Yes, Odin is the true god" then go for it.

A lot depeonds on what you didn't agree with from temple or church. For example, as a Catholic, I found myself not agreeing with lots of stuff the priests were saying but, later, found that much of what I didn't agree with wasn't actual Church teaching but more like that priest's interpretation of Church teaching.

I can believe the Church without necessarily agreeing with all Her priests.

A good friend is pagan. He worships in his own way. No church, no temple, no Sunday obligation. I know a lady that is Wiccan and she "casts spells" the way that I pray, when we're trying to help someone or when we're asking for help during hard times. She calls hers a "spell" and I call my way of talking to God "a prayer" but who really knows which is "right?"

Follow your heart and ask God for guidance. I'm sure that He will help you find your path...

All adulterers and even pedophile priests question their faith. But a normal person need not look up to those sinners. Just follow your heart.

Continue to pray for those adulterers and even pedophile priests; but do not follow their example. Just look at the pope. His example was to be a member of the Hitler youth and a notorious Jude hunter.

All young adult and adult believers question their faith. This is part of growing up and being an adult. God gave us a wonderful mind and we are supposed to use it.

Continue to pray and search for where you belong. Be patient but diligent. Research and learn about the various religious faiths. Find the place where God wants you to be.

With love in Christ.
