do the cotton thing. don't rinse and don't take aspirin or any kind of blood thinning medication.
You want it to clot so you don't get a dry socket. Or you will really have to go to the dentist because of the PAIN!!!

i'm sorry misunderstood the question. try a piece of cotton/gauze and placing it where the tooth was removed and with your finger or tongue put pressure on cotton/gauze, not too much where it hurts for a few times a day for only a day or two, if that doesn't help, then you may have to get stitches.

Pack the socket with gauze squares and bite down for about 10 minutes and then leave the packing in place. If this doesn't help you may want to call urgent care to see what they suggest.

Just keep biting down on gauze or wadded up tissue or toilet paper. Pressure stops the blood flow and white blood cells will start the clotting process.

Bite down on gauze and leave it in for at least an hour. Don't move around, and don't suck anything through a straw. If you get thirsty, eat ice chips.

Stuff it full of cotton balls. Sleep with them in there. Still bleeding in the morning? Go see a dentist.

Ice or something cold might help it... But why did you have that tooth removed?
