And Adam and Eve disappointed God (and surprised Him!) by this sin, how exactly did God plan for them to reproduce?

Would mating have simply been an act without desire? If so, it seems we have a lot to thank Eve for!

You really should read the Bible. You could easily answer your own question.

"Never have read it, but it's a lie..." Whatever.

No, the Bible doesn't say that knowledge of sexual love was a sin, and you're right- God commanded that that the first couple reproduce. The original sin was taking fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad- making the choice to decide for themselves what was good and bad. Today people still haven't learned that God sets the standard for what is good and bad. He created us with sexual desire to be fulfilled in the marriage relationship.

The original sin was a sexual affair, a mixing of blood and not the literal eating of a fruit. That is why Abel under the perfect revelation knew that by blood only could the sins be appeased and his sacrifice was accepted. If it was the eating of the fruit then surely Cain's sacrifice was supposed to be accepted.
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
It is said Eve gave unto "Adam with her" surely the eating of a fruit doesn't require a joint effort.
Adam was a son of God and he had the creative power to speak things into existence.

No having sex was not the original sin. For which ADAM and Eve( the first of the race we call Israelites as they met other tribes outside of the Garden after being exiled.) were punished. It was for giving into temptation and eating of the fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil that was the sin.
The first original sin was from much earlier. when God let all the souls that He/Her had made before the creation of the physical universe in to see what HE/HER had made. and entered into the forms and forgot where they had come from. That was the first original sin.

if you would read Song of Solomon. You would see that God gave man and woman a great desire for sexual pleasure. It was good and wonderfully made. it was man who distorted this and made it a sinful act. Sex is not a sin. The sin is the way in which it is abused against another human being.

Where in the Bible does it say that sexual love is a original sin? Can't find that one. God made sex a way of worshipping Him. God ordained marriage between one man and one woman for life to join together and become one flesh. Jesus said "you have heard that you shall not commit adultery, but I say to you that if you even lust after a woman you have already committed adultery with her in your heart." After the fall of Adam and Eve, the unregenerate man continuously lusts after the opposite and sometimes same sex. Jesus said that is a sin.

who knows screw the original sins they were written so long ago bu some odd fellows. Adam and eve is a joke its almost a something you would tell your child when they ask were baby's come from. But most of the sins are good like dont steal kill etcc. But knowlsedge of sex is a healthy human function.

I'm sorry, but who said it WAS?

The BIBLE clearly says it was eating the fruit of the forbidden tree that was the sin, NOT sexual love.

Because he was perfect, Adam was the most sensitive, perfect lover in the world before the fall.

After that, Eve got really frustrated, I'm sure.

nope

it was not sexuality, but the violation of God's command not to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil

just as there was one marriage in the garden, there is one marriage in heaven between Jesus and the bride of Christ which is the redeemed and sexual love between husband and wife is just a glipse of the wonderful relationship of the redeemed and Jesus in heaven

original sin.. no way
original plan... yes way
it is an object lesson of somethign in heaven and a glipse of the joys of the loving relationships in heaven which we do not yet know

i don't get where people think that sex is a sin. adam and eve recognized their naked bodies and were ashamed. shame was the invention at that particular time, not sex. nowhere does it say that adam and eve could not touch or have sex.

Genesis 1,
27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 2,
24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (being "one flesh" sounds more like sex than the later statement referring to their shame)

25And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Genesis 3,
7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

THIS is not sex. THIS is shame.

in my opinion, the sin was'nt sexual it was spiritual, Something eve did enabled the spirit of sin to enter humanity to influance him in many ways, to a limited extent. for instance shame, pain, all these feelings and emotions were installed after consumeing. A spirit may have enterd them enableing or should i say curseing us to sin or lawlessness.
