Recently I met a guy at a church social event, and we had a short but nice conversation. During the event after our conversation I looked over at him and he was staring at me. After the event he gave me a hug and we parted ways. I've seen him a couple of times after that and although he definitely notices me when I walk into the room, he doesn't come up to say hi or anything. I saw him again this weekend and he smiled at me, but no words yet. Does he like me but is intimidated or shy? Is this how some guys behave when they like someone?

he's surely interested in you ,i think he might be shy or he doesnt want you to think that he's a pushy and cheeky guy ,It's better you start a conversation next time you see him ..let him know that you're interested and enjoying his company too.

lol he is a lil intimidated /shy. May be has a fear of rejection and being embarrassed thats why he smiles when he sees u hoping u would see him

it's not that black and white...our actions are not like the weather...you walk outside, if it's cold, you throw a coat on. done. but people...aren't so easily read. he may like you, he may just be friendly, he might a flirt, he mat surely be shy...see what i mean? trust me, time will tell...until then, put a coat on- it's freezing!

he may be shy. may be he likes u, but is afraid of approaching u due to fear of rejection.. may be he wanna know u better before taking the first step.

Dont know for sure, depends on his age or other reasons.
If you like him, tell him. If you just want to know if he likes you...you'll have to ask or wait until he says something.
