I am looking for a site that sells small triangular rugs to stick on individual metal stairs on an indoor spiral staircase. Mine is metal and hard and cold and it has ridges that hurt my feet if I do not have shoes on. Maybe I can cut my own from some rug fabric and padding? How would I make it stick and be sure it is safe and won't slip? We rent and it can not be permanant. Ideas? Help! Thank you!

If the stairs have openings in them, you can use bolts with washers and nuts to hold the rugs to the stairs. Easy to unbolt/unscrew later. If the rug has any pile, it won't be noticeable. If you want to get fancy, spray paint them first so they look like modern art. As to the rugs themselves, get a large rug and use a pattern to cut out the smaller triangles. Use a a carpet cutter tool. Then you can either have the edges bound at a local rug repair cleaners or use a glue to keep them from unravelling. Depending on the rug, you could use some iron on edging that would do the same thing. Purchasing custom triangle rugs is possible but pricey. Good luck!

I haven't seen the small rugs for a spiral staircase.
Although the spiral staircase i had used carpet cut to the shape of the stairs..
And really good double bonding glue used..

Spiral staircases are dangerous enough, the last thing you want is any cover to move.
Get permission or ask the owner if its ok if they get the stairs covered.

So i would suggest getting an off-cut of carpet, a very good carpet knife or blade. to cut and a strong bonding glue that mixes itself as you apply it. Two part epoxy glue.

You might get a couple of dangley bits if its a high looped pile.
But if you cut these off.. I normally don't have any bits come back for some time.

Hope this has helped.

Omg Rob you are a legend! I'm not sure if the U.K. sell them but I expect the USA would but shipping fees would cost so much. You would be able to buy I spiral staircase but I'd shop around for the best deal, but making a curved slide out of wood would be hard, only a suggestion maybe a plastic slide? Hope you make one and good luck!
