A pc with a strong specs (Dual Core, 300GB Hard Drive, HDCP Vidio Card, etc.) and runs a variety of applications that can take full advantage of providing high defintion video, graphics, music etc. It will most definitely need to be connected to a powerful receiver and speakers......surrounding you in a 7.1 configuration.
The great thing about the pc as a component of your home theater, you all of a sudden get the ability to continously upgrade your entire system through a new operating system, software, hardware changes, etc. I love that idea, and I will love it even more when my media room is completed.
