Don't they realize how annoying it is? If I wanted to hear about God or Jesus, I'd be posting here, in the Religion catagory, not asking a question in the mental health section. Can't people just shut the f*** up about God and Jesus when they're talking to someone who's not even Christian about something that has nothing to do with religion, in a part of the website that has nothing to do with religion?

To all the people telling me that this is the religion catagory, I know that. That's because THIS question is about religion, so it belongs in the religion catagory. The questions that this question is ABOUT were ones that I posted in the Mental Health catagory. That's NOT the religion catagory. I got answers THERE that were about religion, which is what this question is about. Since now I AM asking about religion I posted in the religion catagory. It's really not that hard to figure out. Next time you feel the need to talk down to me, try getting your facts straight. Seriously, how dumb can you get?

I fully agree with your views.

They are all fanatics. There are Christian Fanatics, Islamic fanatics and even Hindu fanatics. There is nothing wrong to ask a question here and there and to clarify ones doubt, but in this form people act vigorously to spread their religion and to convert people. Above all using slang languages while addressing Christ or Mohammad or Gods of other religions.Even while answering the same thing is done by many. I feel it is bad and do not approve this act. I am Hindu and I answer questions related to all relations as far a I know and I am not against any religion. I appeal to every one to be modest in their actions. -

Well, most Christians don't see religion as a once a week topic. They try to live their life by its principles. Sometimes certain questions get a Biblical or religious answer where none is needed, but it shouldn't be taken too personally. Most mean well, but may lack in sensitivity and tact. Most Christians see Jesus as the answer, so be prepared for that to be an actual answer.

Why are you so CRUDE in your remarks about Christians? Your RUDE language is vulgar and puts you into an unworthy spot. Morally Corrupt comes to mind.

Why does it matter if CHRISTIANS ask questions in any other forum? You alone determine which question you click on; so don't click on any Christian questions!!! No one said you would never be offended so don't go out of your way to be offensive. You owe Christians an apology. I know I don't talk about you in the same manner.

Our mission as Christians is to tell the TRUTH about the Bible and God. You obviously can't handle it. We are to spread the WORD so you can't come back later and say you were not told about GOD.

You would be surprised about what forums are important to GOD. Your number has been called; will you answer with a glad heart?

God Bless You and Merry Christmas!

There is good probability that faith in God can be related to your mental health. If you were asking something in the mental health section and someone decided that it was their duty to witness to you, I am very sorry that they neglected to answer your question.

The fact is, that many Christians have a false idea about witnessing to non-believers. On the other hand, it could be that the answer is something related to faith in God. Most of the working philosophies in the world depend upon God. It might be that the answer you received had God as a necessity.

I once was as angry as you but didn't direct it in the same manner or all towards Christians. Now I'm saved. All that anger was right before I was saved so it could be you are under conviction by the Holy Spirit. (or in lots of pain?)
Other Christians have voiced my opinions as to why we have a right to use clean hopeful answers and language with respect in any section as all of it pertains to this life. Your questions and subsequent anti-Christian answers prove you use the same privilege but abuse community standards to do so. That's called hypocritical.
Personally, I think it's a shame if young people were to come here looking for truth and all they found were lies. Maybe it's not welcome in your ears, but it could be the saving of a person's life.
P.S. Fellow Christians: Look up the question she is referring to please. You might post differently?

we as christians r called to spread the word not tie everyone down and force our beliefs upon u. christians should not be here to convince u about jesus. our job is that we r to make sure that everyone we come in contact with has had the oppurtunity to accept jesus christ as lord and savior.that is our responsablity. after that is urs. god gave u freewill. a choice to choose life or death. however we do not have a choice about spreading the good news- it is gods will. we must be obedient. disobedience brings spritual death. i know u dont understand alot of things because they r hidden. u must seek them out. and they will b revealed to u. however there r plenty of ppl in this world that have a hunger for christ. and will walk miles and hours to just hear 1 sermon. those are the ones crying out that we must seek to bring the word of god to and encourage, build up & edify. ur right if u want it u know where to get it.

For us Christians God is involved in every aspect of our lives. Mental health and spiritual health are very closely related. If you have a good spiritual relationship with God then you are most likely to be mentally healthy. Gods love brings inner peace and joy to the lives of those who accept his love into their lives. When you have inner peace and joy there is no room for anger, stress, or any other cause of mental destress. God bless you with his love.

Well when some people post about their own mental health problems, its usually something wrong with the underlying way they view the world. When that's the case, I try to point then in a direction in which they can find help. And it is tempting to come on with an attitude of "Are you kidding me? I can do whatever I want. I know GOD!"

It's not just on Yahoo Answers, it's everywhere.

Basically, it's because they have been indoctrinated to believe that non-christians will go to hell, no matter how exemplary a life they have lead. It's almost an addiction - and like an addict, they can't help themselves. Not without significant "re-education", which in terms of conquering an addiction is referred to as rehabilitation.

Most adults are more than capable of doing their own research and making their own choices. But christians in general and fundamentalists in all religions in particular, can't accept that in themselves or in others. Talk about intolerance, arrogance, and just plain, old-fashioned rudeness!

To me, such beliefs are a way to avoid finishing growing up and avoid taking responsibility for themselves. After all, if you can be forgiven for anything that you've done in this life, or if everything in this life is pre-ordained, you have no need to personal responsibility for anything. That sounds a lot like Peter Pan, now, doesn't it?

Maybe some of the inquirers in the mental health section need to be answered with God... just like some of the inquirers in this section have some mental health issues.
