I don't know that he would defeat most of his opponents, but I'm he would hold his own. Norris is a jujitsu shodan, so he is not totally unfamiliar with ground fighting. In order to buy into the idea that he would be totally uncompetitve at contempoary MMA, then you would have to also dismiss the people Norris fought (and mostly beat) over the years-Joe Lewis, Louis Delgado, Ron Marchini, Benny Urquidez, etc. That's a pretty tough crowd by anyone's standards.

most likely yes because Chuck Norris was one of Bruce Lee's students back in the day. The MMA is over rated any way

H.......E.................LL NO!!! Chuck Norris is like the worst martial arts actor I've ever seen! He's slow, he stands too tall, his form's not that great either.... I have no idea why a lot of people believe that he's the best.... I bet many of the people here can beat him. Just because he shot a film with Bruce Lee doesn't mean he's good. Plus, they sped up his part to make it look good.

If Chuck Norris took lessons from Chuck Liddell then he would be a force to be reckon with. The reason why is b/c Chuck is meant to be train by Chuck.

Chuck Norris only knows one style of fighting, as opposed to many of the MMA guys today who have mastered a variety of styles, so it is impossible he would win, even if he were at his prime

If Chuck Norris was trained in MMA and not just one type of karate maybe. Its hard to say as times have changed. Royce Gracie was owned by Matt Hughes. Would Gracie in his prime beat todays Matt Hughes? I would still say no. MMA has advanced and progressed. Also, Chuck Norris was beaten by Bruce Lee who was using a fighting style he created. Would Antonio Tarver beat Rocky Balboa in his prime? :)

considering that chuck norris stopped the JFK assasination by stopping the bullets with his beard I would say that a punch or submission doesn't pack the power of a bullet.

Add that to the factor that his opponent's head would explode at the sheer amazement when his beard blocked thier punch or that his beard could resist and counter the triangle (just like jfk's did).

No way, Norris isn't that good. Any Shao lin monk would run rings around him.

He wasn't even a match for Bruce Lee.
