I think you'll agree it's a compulsion. The mind can offer up some really strange below the level of awareness instructions. While in prison for stealing and other anti social behavior I read a copy Dianetic's The Modern Science Of Mental Health by L. Ron Hubbard. It's kind of a hand book for the mind. I twined up with a friend and ran some processes learned from the book, it worked, end result, sanity. Little word, big changes and much self awareness.....no more self destructive behavior.

Because satan wants you to kill yourself so you wouldn't get to heaven. I really recommend getting on your knees and asking Jesus Christ to Forgive you, Save you from sin, hell and satan. And ask Jesus to help you stop messing up your body that God gave you to use while you're here on earth. It's your decision.
