We had a community celebration yesterday....it was awesome! On Yule eve, me and my family will hold a Ritual, burn our family Yule log, feast, open presents, play games/watch movies/tell stories all night to keep vigil with the Goddess, go out singing to greet the new sun in the morning, open our gifts from Santa, eat a Yule breakfast and enjoy the day together. This year we are focusing on how we can take our light into the world through service to our fellow humans. My whole family is so excited as we will all be together for Yule for the first time in 6 years. I can't wait.

Have a Cool Yule!

And Litha/Summer Solstice blessings to our friends "down under" !

Summer Solstice down here, and to celebrate I made a hilarious solstice joke. Would you like to hear it?

What does Sir Ronnie Corbett have in common with the Summer Solstice?
They're both the shortest knight!

We had a community ritual/celebration earlier tonite but on the solstice I plan to have a small family get together, read some Yule Stories to my son, light a few (hundred) candles, and so on.... then this weekend we will travel to Illinos to spend a hoilday with my husbands family.

Mmmm, Summer solstice here.
I'll be on the beach, dancing with my firestick.
Water and Earth at my feet, Wind in my face, Fire in my hand and Spirit all around.

Run with the God,
Dance with the Goddess,
and Party with the Pagans

Well two of our friends are being handfasted on Yyle (Friday night), and we'll have a Yule ritual after. I'm VERY much looking forward to it!

Then on Saturday we'll be going to a sister-coven Yule celebration.

Good people, good food, gifts and laughter and solemnity and thankfulness.

We're flying on Thursday evening, so I'm planning a quiet private ritual on Wednesday night in my yard.
