You will have to go to Jim Wolfe Racing and buy another engine control computer. Now the disclamer! twisting that engines stock internal parts that fast will cause connecting rod failure. KA-BOOM!

Hey there your car has a governor on it most cars have them these days and what it does is shuts down your motor to prevent taking your vehicle to excessive high speeds now it all depends on the restrictions in your area but if you know a good mechanic that will remove that govenor then your car will reach that higher rpm but doing this will shorten the life of your engine because of the higher rev's hope this gives you some help

That cutoff is put in there for a reason. The engine is probably not designed to run at 8000rpm. Not for long, anyway!

Hi there, the ecm/ecu controls the engine rpm ceiling, the easiest way round this is to have a new eprom fitted within the ecm/ecu, as someone earlier mentioned it can have catastrophic consequences. The eprom controls more than just rpm and sometimes just adjusting the rpm ceiling just isn't enough, fuel pumps, pistons and conrods and other engine componants have to be upgraded costing more than a couple of quid!!
