you need to remove the oilyness fro your hair for once and for all by shampooing. a real shampoo you gotta get in there and scrub all the dirt and oil away. when you don't shampoo your natural oils come out. you possibly have oily hair from the lack of shampooing. you need to shampoo to rid your hair and scalp of germs and stink. do get up early or shampoo before you go to bed. find the time to do this not only for styling purposes but for health and hygiene as well. not shampooing then doing stuff like cheerleader practice, walking to school and walking aroung school makes you sweat--then makes your scalp and hair stink...do it now sweetie. find the time to take care of yourself...trust me i used to not wanna take a shower which made my hair greasy.
p.s. masking the odor with perfumes, leave in conditioner and other products will also make it greasier. do not substitute cleanliness for a good smelling head. adding leave in conditioners and the like make the hair "wet" which attracts dust even more. there is nothing worse than a smelly head masked by fragrance. you don't have to shampoo daily. just every other day to get rid of product build up, dirt, stink and grease. you can even get head lice and dandruff from not shampooing. i didn't shampoo and attended softball practice. the next day i got lice. apparently lice like stinky dirty heads and grow/thrive in heat and under the sun.

Take a damp washcloth that has some conditioner in it and scrub only the scalp and roots. (1/4 inch away from scalp).
This will at least lift the dirt and oil off the head. The rest of the hair should not be as oily as the scalp, therefore, you do not need to damp clean the rest of your hair unless you feel it needs it.
The conditioner is used to condition the scalp and to give the hair a fresher, cleaner smell... Plus conditioner in small moderation can be used as a leave-in.
Give a good brush through to evenly blend the conditioned damp hair into the dry hair.
There you go!
hope this helps

Ponytail. You can never go wrong with that. And if it smells like you haven't taken a shower or washed it (i know all ya'll girls have this problem once in a while!!) try using a pleasant smelling leave in conditioner to temporarily make your hair smell good. And when you get the first chance to, wash your hair with a good shampoo. Usually the ones for thin/limp hair to "add volume" are the ones that leave your head dryer. Those work for me because i only like to wash my hair every other day. Since your hair is dryer, it won't get greasy as fast either.

I have this same problem too-some days I really don't have the time to shower. On those days, I usually just throw my head down, shake it around to get some volume, and then pull it back with a headband. My favorite headband is from Forever 21.

I have also found that braids hide grease really well.
I've heard of something called 'dry shampoo' which you pat on your hair and it absorbs grease. I've never actually tried it or seen it, but apparently there is such a product. Maybe if you looked around at a couple drugstores for it you'd find it.
The problem that I have with ponytails is that ponytails put all the focus on the top of your head, which is usually the greasiest part of my hair.
Good luck!

Put it up in a pony tail or bun of some sort. There is also shampoo you can buy that needs no water and you could put it in on your way to wherever your going. (If you dont curl your hair of course.) But I have found that if I am rushed and dont have time to take a quick shower, I just put my hair back and spray the rest with hair spray so it doesnt look dirty just shiny.

even nonetheless you have dark hair, use talc for shiny finding bits if it quite is not too undesirable. it quite is rubbish it quite is in basic terms for blondes I even have dark brown hair and it blends in so nicely. additionally Sunsilk have a shampoo especially for oil removal and keeps your hair much less greasy for longer. Double wash your hair, so once you're interior the bathe double wash your hair, it makes a drastic distinction!

Powder will help make it no so greasy... just try putting it up in a cute pony tail or braid your hair... that's what I do if I'm busy or in a hurry and have no time.

Get some dry shampoo. It's powder that will soak up the oil.
