Im just wondering if anyone knows where I would go to do this. I am only 19 but the more I look around the more I see how terrible this world is, and it is not getting better.

I have so many questions and I dont know what to do, and I feel the only way to save myself is by serving god as much as I can. I would honestly rather be dead than continue to live in todays society. I dont want to be influenced by the corruption induced from the devil and the only way I see possible with that is to get away. If anyone know how I can do this please let me know.

I am born catholic, but I dont even know what I am any more, Jehovas witness' live as if they were Jesus and try to spread the Lords word, and basically every religion teaches to live like jesus, or at least christian demoninations. But right now I just believe in the Bible, and I continue to try and learn from it. But I dont want to fall back into what I was

If someone knows any info, please share

Ok I cannot just pick a favorite answer for this, im sorry. It seems everyone is reaching to me for good. But I thank everyone one of you for your responses, and I will look further into going away for a short time and getting the Lord in myself more securly. I feel if I still stay out here I may be re-influenced because there are few and far between where I live that have strong beliefs as I am starting to regain in my life. Alot of people live in todays society, living for drugs, money, and corruption. All to better themselves selfishly, which is completely wrong.

I think I just need to do a little more searching to find an answer. But all I can say is thank you so much for your responses, and it makes me feel that much better that I had these responses in only hours. So I now know that the support is there, I will do the best I can. I hope all of you will keep the Lord with yourselves as well.

God bless .....

Immediately, the questioner should begin praying in faith for God's assistance and direction in this matter.

(1 John 5:15) We know we are to have the things asked since we have asked them of him.

Secondly, the questioner should not hesitate to read the bible immediately. Even if a printed copy is unavailable, the entire text is freely available on the internet:

Thirdly, the questioner should not hesitate to share even his limited understanding of the Christian "good news" with friends, neighbors, relatives, etc.

(Mark 13:10) the good news has to be preached first

Fourthly, the questioner can get true Christians to come to him in his home and together they can read and study the bible!

(Matthew 18:20) For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.

The important thing is to insist that any discussion or meeting use the bible as the only authority. Too many churches elevate human tradition and philosophy of men over God's Word the Holy Bible. Condider also whether the church has an organized program whereby all its adherents preach publicly as Jesus commanded.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Don't be such a Debbie Downer. The world is a beautiful place and God's glory is at work everywhere! Look at Iraq: Horrible things were going on there, but the U.S. stood up and did something to save the Iraqi people. And it is getting better! With the theory on Global Warming came ideas on how to stop it. Did you know there is a country that runs entirely off of their dump? They use the methane emitting from the garbage to run their cars, electricity, everything! I think that's pretty amazing. We're getting closer and closer to the George Jetson world we all saw on TV when we were kids. But if you ever really need to escape from modern life and feel closer to God, see something natural. I've traveled all over the country and am here to testify that our country has done an excellent job protecting its forests. So, go see the ocean, visit Yellowstone National Park, or spelunk in a cave and learn just how amazing the world really is!

This world sucks!
Yes Satan has begun to take a hold of it and you cant get away from it run as you may.
What you CAN do is try to make your corner of the world better. Be an example. Be HIS vessel. Go forth and do HIS work. LOOK TO HIM. Find a mission and act on it in HIS name. Since this world does reek, do something to change it. Complaining or being afraid does not help. Do not hide from the world. Instead Clothe yourself in HIS love and Armour your self in FAITH and By HIS GRACE you will be crowned.
Remember you are a Child of THE KING. Bear HIS LIGHT INTO the world and serve HIM faithfully. Sure the world might still stink but you can be the incense in your part of the world.

I would suggest that you go to an Evangelical Free Church. They believe in the Bible. The Bible is without error and is isprired by God himself. Catholics and Jehova's witnesses are not the way to go as they believe in false doctine that is just not in the Bible. Also I have to ask if you are in a saving relationship. By this I mean that you should accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and turn from sin.

You don't leave you be a light (Matt 5:16) You pray... I know the state of the world is highly depressing apparantly there is a country where the Christian population is 95%... Can't remember the name. Google it.

I believe that working within my society to make it a better place if we all leave how will they find Jesus.

I am so glad you are letting the guidance from the Bible lead you to right living. do find a church, ask God to Guide you to one.

Join the Peace Corp. You will be working your buns off doing something to help the poor. That is one thing you can do instead of getting frustrated. At 19, you should be frustrated with the 'world'. If you were not, you wouldn't have a heart.
I am sure there are other organizations within and with out the church. Just be sure you know what you are getting into and who, what, when, where. Just to be safe.

Pray to God and see what you come up with. How about a Bible or training school for awhile. How about serving in a short term mission trip for a summer or a year or two and see how you like it? There's a lot of people who still don't have the Bible and haven't heard much about it.

God instilled in you the strength and resources to make this world a better place. Instead of going buy that PS3 video game, help a family by giving the money to charity instead. Too much time on your hands? Volunteer to help others.

Remember...God is all about Hope. Without God things are hopeless.

Are you doing everything you can to make this world a better place?

I hear ya man. Take a look at this site. It has links to mission opportunities, which really are a great idea. They do wonders for your spiritual life. I would also recommend you surf around the rest of the site. I think it will benefit you greatly since you are big into God's word. Pray about it. Seek to do His will.
