My pantry smells like wine. I'll be taking the trash out in the morning, but I'm just curious as to where the smell could be coming from. There is no food in the trash except for bread crumbs, tomatoes, and a banana peel, maybe some onions. But no grapes. But it smells strongly of wine, fumes almost made me tipsy. But there is no alcohol in the pantry at all.

Everything else in there is canned or in a bottle or dry food.

We had some empty alcohol bottles in there for a few months, but finally recyled them a month ago (and they had been sitting there since August).

Any clue?

It could be the trash, tom.&banana combination. But, wash you shelves off with soda water.

It's the alcohol bottles scent it left since you left them sitting there a long time, lazy goofball. Unless your kids, or your other half is drinking behind your back.

Do you clean out the can after you take out the garbage? If not I'm surprised you didn't notice rank smells sooner.
