When a guy says he would love you if he was single what does it mean?
i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one

Usually when they say "if I was single" that means they are not availabe. Plain and simple. Stay away, he's playing games with you. He wants you to love him (it feels great to be loved!), but he doesn't want to love you back because he has a nice cover. Guys who are intimidated by our jobs are wusses, find a real man.

Girl where do i start?! Ok, he does like you, but as well your question might as well be your answer! He is taken and by him saying "if he was single.." says to you that "i like you but i have a girlfriend and i show my jealousy when you talk about your ex and me saying what about us means i want you even tho i have a gf" Now girl if you go playing with this guy while he has a gf you are playing with fire, Also you would hate it if you were in his gf's shoes and that happened. You have a high powered job and earn good money, Now go get a good man that is single and deserves you! (It aint all about physical attraction so you know)

Potential yes...however, I would wait it out and leave him. I applaud the honesty. Look you have poured your heart out here....that takes a lot of heart and fortitude.....you know what the right things are...obviously...you just seem to need a shoulder and honey you have one here.
I wish you the very best ~ Knowing well my answer is not your panacea of promise...but YOU matter, and YOU are remarkable and YOU make a difference........what more can I say?
I will say this,....you sound as though you make one great half of an US"........
Integrity, thoughtfulness, honesty, heartfelt.....the list of what i see in you goes on.....but I am not your answer...you know it already....i can only see your virtues.....and know what else?
I am better for it.....
Thank You!

Ok, if I were in your position, I would have nothing to do with him. He's dating someone, and he's looking at you. Who's to say that he wouldn't cheat on you if you were together? And your relationship status, in my opinion, has nothing to do with who you love...he's just after something (I think you know what I mean). Respect yourself, and don't let him have it. Infatuation and physical attraction does NOT equal love.

If he could be "the one", then heck yea you should ask him out, he's not married and if he seems that into you too, maybe you two should try again....couldn't hurt to try and you should always go for what you want, long as nobody gets hurt
