First meeting/date....?

I want to meet this girl I met on the net, but I dont know what kind of place to meet her. What would be a good place to meet for the first time? I fear coffee seems to be too "common" and something like a steak dinner would feel like im overcompensating and/or trying to impress her too much....

i think coffee is a good idea, it'll make her feel more comfortable cos there's other people around. not that im saying you have bad intentions, but im sure for the 1st time meeting a guy she's only spoke to on the internet she wont feel at ease if ye go somewhere quiet like your place...and as for pub, not everyone is into drinking but i guess you know if she is or not as youve been talking to her.
and with a movie, you wont get to actually talk to her, so after go for something to eat, not an expenive place, somewhere casual, or for a coffee lol

Take her out for buffet-or a simple restaurant where she can order vegetables or fruit if she wants. Just be yourself. Relax enjoy making a friend. You can have coffee there as well.

Meet at a mall? they usually have coffee shops inside or nice restaurants.....plus what girl (besides me) doesn't like to go shopping?
