Is there any way to make your cat more comfortable with giving them a bath? And, I understand too have the water lukewarm, but...any approximate temperature? Thanks.

If it is comfortable to your wrist, it will be comfortable to the cat.
If you are calm, the cat will be more likely to be calm herself.

Most cats don't need baths, however I have owned a few that never got the nack of cleaning themselves or liked to roll in the dirtiest places possible.
Here are a few things I did that helped relieve the stress during bath times.
1. Fill the tub or sink before you bring the cat to it. Sometimes the sound of running water scares them. Then use a cup to get the cat wet and rinse.
2. If the sound of the water isn't a problem,use a removable shower head, or the sprayer on the sink instead of the faucet.
3. Talk calmly to the cat while bathing and try to stay calm yourself when it flips out.
Finally, if the cat still has to get a bath and is still flipping out, get a firm grip of the skin on the back of their neck. Face them away from the faucet, even if it's not on.
Also, if you have to bathe your cat, make getting wet in the bath area a regular occurance. Even if you don't bathe the cat, spend some time with the cat in the sink/tub while dry and then get them a little wet. You don't have to soak them. This will help them get use to the idea and maybe with time they will calm down.
Oh yeah, treats before and treats after. Give "special" treats for bath time. Something they REALLY love. Don't use the same treats you use for all other treat time.

most cats and dogs do not like their head wet so if you can bathe the rest of the cat first and slowly work with getting the head wet they will relax more after they feel they can trust you. when bathing to get rid of fleas you have to make sure you get the head also, otherwise the fleas will only go to head area where they can stay dry. fleas cannot live in a lot of water, they drown

Th water should be slightly warmer than your skin. Hold the scruff of their neck gently with one hand and wash with the other. Also washing and drying the area around their head and face first lets them know the worst is over. I have three cats and bathe them once a month. They don't get stressed and I don't get scratched.

There are products out there that are waterless. Some cats just hate water no matter what you do. With proper grooming there is no real need to bath in water any more.

Cats don't need baths on a regular basis unless the cat got into something smelly, dirty, or dangerous to him, or if it needs a flea bath.

No matter what you do your cat isn't gonna like getting a bath, but good luck with it.

if you want to bathe them dont make the water any hotter than you would put a child in.
other than that, cats are NOT comfortable in water.

cats are very clean animals. if i tried to bath our cat her would remove large bits of skin from my face.
