sure its been ugly, but a ruthless (hitler like) dictator was removed> we must stop radical islam in the mid-east before it turns in to many "nazis" terrorizing the world w/ their ideology>

In order to judge, we need to look at the beginning and ending.
The beginning, there was an honerable intention, to bring a tyrant down and show the people what it was like to live without a tyrant ever.
Then the middle, this is where things went wrong, nobody knows what happened here...or what the clear intention was.
The ending, a government has been 'planted' in Iraq. A government the locals dont even see as of their own.
Can democracies be implanted like livers and kidneys?
Even in a kidney implant operation, the doctors do extensive research on whether the body will accept the new organ as its own.
Has the Government of USA done the necessary research before going in?

I believe that political views would dictate our obligation to stabilize the country. The opinion stems from the instability of Europe after WWI which many speculate lead to WWII. In view of this, stabilizing the country seems to be a good decision.
However, I don't believe that this war has anything to do with a moral position ~ Saddam Hussein has (supposedly) been committing genocide on his own people for years and we seem to let that pass without a second thought!
I think that Americans, regardless of religious preference, should closely examine what happened on 9/11.

The USA has ruined the economy of Iraq? Since when? According to Newsweek Iraq's economy is booming. Check the link at the bottom.
The USA did the right thing by going in there. It's funny how no one talks about the genocide that was going on when Saddam was in office.
Unfortunately you need to fight for Freedom. Europe had to do it against Hitler when he invaded Europe. America had to do it against the British back during the War of Independence. The Iraqi's deserve it as well.

I'm not American, but I think it was time someone took what Saddam Husein did and made an example of him. Too long dictators have been getting away with genocide and torture because the people they were harming were of a different culture or tribe! I just wish the Arabic press actually told the truth and not lies about what is going on there. The Iraqi people hate Americans so much because Al Jazeera is saying that the murders going on now are being done by American troops

Well when Saddam was in power sure some people were treated unjustly, but innocent people in the streets could go to work, and school relatively safely. Now everyday women, children and men all die needlessly. I don't understand how incompetent the White House could be to not realize if you remove a dictator that a great struggle for power will ensue, and who has the power? The people with the guns! The armed militias!
I hope they do set things in order after all what did the innocent Iraqis do?

Dude take your politics to that section. If the Iraqi's(muslims) worked to make there country run the USA wouldnt even be there any more. Its funny only a violent man like Sadam was able to control such violent people.

Moral obligation? Yes. Will it happen? Probably not.
The USA did the wrong thing and in so doing, lost the support of the rest of the world. (Oh - except for Tony Blair).

I was against going to Iraq. I do feel that the majority of the Iraqi people are happy that Saddam is gone.
We cannot walk away now. The moron in Washington got us in this and we have to stay the course.

Haven't you heard? Iraq's economy is booming. It needs alot of work. After a government is overthrown, it has a tendency to do that.
No we are not "obligated" to rebuild their economy. Their economy will be just fine. We just need to come on home.
