I begged to be put out and there are very few places that will do it, they actually prefer not to put you out even for multiple extractions.

When I had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out I was put under (only b/c they were impacted) I had a really bad reaction to being put under, for a week I was throwing up all the time I was in pain and every time I would take a T3 to releave the pain it would come right back up, so really I wasn't getting any pain medication. But just this past Monday I had two teeth pulled to make room for my braces and I was just given the local shots around each tooth they were pulling and they did two that day, both on top the number 4 tooth on each side (the one behind the eye tooth) and everything went fine. No sick feelings afterwards, able to eat soup that same day once the bleeding had stopped. I felt no pain just some pressure. Just don't forget to change the gauze they give you often and add just a little water to the gauze to it doesn't stick to the socket and pull out the clot that is forming.
Good Luck!

D,
I just got all four wisdom teeth taken out on November 28. They can use topical anesthetics. Of course you hear alot of breaking of the teeth and talking, feel alot of tugging of the jaw and face, but 35 minutes later your stuffed with cotton and sent to the pharmacy!
At my dentist I had the choice of being consiously sedated or topical anestheics. I choose the consious sedation so I didn't feel pain from about 9:30am till about 5:00 that afternoon!!!!!

Myself i have had 3teeth pulled out in the same day i just had freezing that is it.I do not trust anything else.If you have more than 3teeth at one time i would suggest that you go back and do it another day if you going to get more than 3 at one time. You do not have to be put under.it is what ever your dentist has available at the time for anaesthetic.Good Luck!!

I t depends on how many you consider multiple. If you mean 2 or 3 it is possible. Any more than that not sure if it can be done.

You do not have to be "put under". Some dentists will only administer a local anesthetic so that you can be wide awake while they yank out your teeth. (I think I'd rather miss it . . .)

This would be up to the dentist. If you have had problems with anesthesia, then I am sure he would try something else. I am not sure but check with your dentist and be sure and tell him if you have had any kind of problems.

I had ALL of my upper teeth taken out and was fully awake while it was done. In fact my dentist does not and will not put his patients "out".

I like the drugs they give you for pulling teeth its great. Why wouldn't you want to get put out for that. I wouldn't want to be awake if they were breaking my jaw again.
