When a guy says he would love you if he was single what does it mean?
i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one

It means he wants to get laid without any commitment and it's cheaper than a hooker. Why would you be interested in something like that? He's already given you insight into his character, pay attention.

I think love is a decision that you make and it wont change becoz of situations...U need to love a person with his/ her weakness and strengths.. it may be infatuation in the initial but should lead to a point of decision which demands commitment.. Its good that you told him about ur ex.boy friend.. U truly know him . tell him that , it was past and you love ur present friend sincerely...I dint get u .. at this point.:he would love u if he was single.. what does it mean.
Are you talking about a married person who is ur boyfriend now or u got married..
He appreciates u.. of the way he sees u.. may be physical attraction.. u may be very attractive to him

If he is already attached to someone else, he will not be an ideal partner for you.
I think your infatuation with him is giving you a false sense of hat he terms as'love'.It obviously means you are attracted to each other, you can be friends and even lovers but it can never be a permanent relationship.
If I were you, I would think before getting into a relationship with him.

The key word here is "infatuated", you with him and him with you.
He is with another currently so leave him alone.
Doubtful this would work out for the best regarding you and him.
I think you would just be greatly disappointed.

He wants you and he wants the other girl as well. He is just a horny toad. If you just want a quick lay, that's what you will get. If you want a relationship, you should move on to someone else. Good luck.

I think he just hasn't found his kinda woman, and you haven't found your kinda man, go ahead and stay friends with him and have drinks but make it a double date, he brings his date and you bring your date.

he's not trustworthy. he's in a relationship, but emotionally attaching himself to someone else? no! if he supposedly loves you, or even cares about his current s.o. - he would remain single until he figures out what the heck he wants.
