i recently noticed that my scalp has been itching a lot. i use vive dandruff shampoo for men. i wash my hair 2 times a day. when i finish washing my hair i see that there are about 10 strands of hair on my hands. my hair near the crown and brow has been thinning. well at least i think it is thinning. i don't know if i am going bald or not. some factors that i think could be affecting this are:
1. i wash my hair too much
2. genetics, but my grandpa isn't bald
3. masturbation, i masturbate about 2 times a week.

whenever i'm sitting down, my scalp feels bare.
am i going bald? i'm only 16. i don't want to go bald.

Don't use dandruff shampoo first of all.
Second if your in dry area or winter time you will naturally get a dry scalp. That can lead you to believe that you have dandruff and loseing hair. You can try tea trea oil shampoo and it will clean your scalp from dry and dead skin. Paul Mitchell makes a tea tree shampoo and so do others. It will allow the hair to grow it's full width and keep your scalp from itching.

Youa re young and need to do something about it.

Make sure to get enough of sleep and stick to a balanced and healthy diet.
Massage your scalp regularly. It results in activating the sebaceous glands, thereby resulting in an effective circulation of blood in the affected area, making the hair grow healthy.
Apply coconut milk all over the scalp and massaging gently into the hair. This will nourish the hair and help hair growth. To obtain the coconut milk, grinding the coconut malai (cream) and squeezing the residue.
You can also apply of the juice of green coriander leaves on the head which is considered beneficial for hair growth.
Massaging your hair with Amla oil also helps.
To help your hair grow faster, rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea.
Try drinking a blend of bananas with honey, yoghurt & low-fat milk.
Most importantly lead a stress free life.

Best wishes...

My husband started going bald when he was seventeen. It is possible. He shaves his head completly now and looks very handsome. His grandfather wasn't the slightest bit bald either, nor was his father. When a man has a lot of testosterone it can cause premature balding. That may be the cause. You might not even be balding, it is normal to lose 100 strands of hair each day.
