place more value on dry and dusty bones than the Word of God?

If you don't understand the question, then step back and think about it a while. The problem isn't with the question so much as how you percieve it.

The question is not bout archaeology, creation, or evolution. Nor is it about the nation of Israel or any other nation.

Because people are fallible. We want something tangible to worship. It is sad but true. Be patient, God wins.

Perhaps those that Worship God while disregarding the Creation Story do not find the Creation Story to be mandatory in living a holy life of faith, good works, and justice.
At first it does seem as though those people who don't take the Creation story to heart are disregarding God's Word, but the problem isn't in the people who prefer the theory of Evolution over Creationism. The true problematic component is the Creation story itself. There are several versions of the story and millions of interpretations. Moreover, there is little proof that it is, indeed, God's Word to begin with.

One of the hardest things for any person to do is to go on faith alone. As much as many want to claim a belief in God most will jump at the chance to have some sort of solid connection with the creator. This is why many churches place such a value on certain holy relics that were part of the church past. Shroud of Turin, or the bones of a saint something tangible helps get one over that last hurdle of blind faith.

We use the Word of God to make those dry and dusty bones come alive...

My question is, have you noticed 90% of the people were offended by this ! ? ! I have read soooo many things about God that it scares me , and I exit out ! Blasphemy man! I wont even finish reading some things written about God ! To answer your question, God did speak of bones in the Bible......Its more in the Old Testament though.........See before Jesus came, God ruled with an iron rod ...... That was the reason Jesus came and died--Then arose ! It would be impossible for any of us to make it if Jesus didn't die, but I dont know why people are fixated on ""bones""...........? My brother is a pastor......Hes in bed, but I'll ask him, and leave a remark if you close this out...... I'll tell you what he says..........

He doesn't. But the word of God talks about dried and dusty bones (Israel the nation). They aren't mutually exclusive. As of I beleive 1948 Israel (dried bones) became a nation again fulfilling the Word of God.

The absurd subject is that Christians declare to get their messiah concept from Judaism however the Jewish concept is thoroughly distinctive. it is not purely that Jews do no longer settle for Jesus as Messiah. Jews do no longer evaluate the Messiah to be a private savior. In Judaism, there is not any choose for such. there is not any hell. Messiah mean "anointed", no longer "savior". The Jewish Messiah is meant to be a countrywide redeemer -- that's, he's meant to rescue the Jewish u . s . a . from persecution by using ushering in an era of peace in the international. And he's to be human, like Moses. he's to no longer be worshipped.

I don't understand. Who puts more value on dry and dusty bones?

2006-12-18 16:06:38 · answer #8 · answered by Sorrow & Bliss 2 · 1 0

Good question.

Lots of people are fixated on the dry and dusty.

They look to people like Paul instead of someone who encompasses peace and love.
They look to the Bible or the Quran instead of the gods around them.

While they could find peace within themselves, they seek only strife by clinging onto ancient traditions that are no longer relevant to this society.

Casting off Muhammed, Paul, Moses, the Quarn, and the Bible is the first step to better understanding yourself and your world.

Hmm lets see, clear cut archaeological evidence versus a book written by many different men, over a long period of time, then re-translated over and over.
