I think so. I mean, look at the giraffe and platypus, somebody on high got a kick out of evolution, no?
I think God (as I happen to call him) is playful and funny. He's got to be to love us all so much :)

If you count letting the Jews wander around the Sinai dessert for forty years and then allowing them to find the promised land, which was the only place in that part of the world where you can't poke a stick in the ground and strike oil, as being funny, then you have to say that this god creature has a sense of humor.

I absolutely agree. I'm a goofball, and I think God is too. He'd be the guy cracking hilarious fart jokes while also helping the poor..
God has a legendary sense of humor. That's why his name is the reverse of dog, which is quite possibly the goofiest animal in the world.

Well if you want to talk biblical god - he can be angry and jealous so why have a sense of humor too?
My goddesses and gods certainly have "human" traits, as have most throught the history of religion.
Maybe they were his/her/their traits first and passed on to us?
