...the various aspects of the faith they were raised in when they discover that they may not accept some aspects of that faith? As an intellectual, I find some aspects of my religion tough to "stomach" and I'm curious about exploring those aspects; what would you suggest?
Specifically, I'm curious that maybe some aspects of "paganism" might be authentic...

There is significant overlap in many spiritual methods and what I think is when they agree then that is very likely a point you can enter in your for sure true column

I suggest a study of the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. They will cover it with your thoroughly and it will be much easier to measure your faith by Bible standards than to go completely the opposite way just because you are dissatisfied. God is an intellectual and He wrote the Bible. You may find you have more in common with Him than you previously thought.
