Well, I am 21 right now, and some of my friends have started to get engaged. I'll probably get married in ~2 years. Don't rush things though. I know that the idea of getting married is exciting, but you need to know what it is like to live on your own before you get married.

The right age to get married is when you are sure you are ready. Don't let your boyfriend convince you otherwise. Hopefully you will be married for a long time - do everything now that you want to do. Go to college, travel, spend time with your girlfriends, etc. Once you are married things change and when you start your family your time will never be yours again. I am 61 years old, got married when I was 21, began a family at 25. I deeply love my husband but wish I had waited a bit longer. I went from living at home to living with my husband. My only regret is that I did not "go away" to college or get an apartment with a girlfriend. I have never really been single if you catch my meaning. Don't rush into anything...love is now...marriage can wait. Good luck.

I think 2-3 years sounds good. I'd like to get married at like 21ish too. My sis got married at 18 and she's been married for 6 years. When you're ready, you're ready. If you're super career oriented then 25-30 (but I think that's quite old). Just make sure you're financially ready. There's no set age, just wait for the right time.

When you have a steady career that you love and that is going to make live comfortable, and you have a nice home and a good man that has a good career and loves you with all that he is worth and then some and he wants a son and a daughter and one that never ever lays a hand on you out of anger, that is the age you get married. Best wishes

Of course it depends on the person.

My folks didn't get hitched till they were 33 and 34, but my best friend's parents married at 20 and 21.

And you sometimes hear about 70-somethings getting married =)

Besides, it sounds like you're giving yourselves plenty of time to think about it, so don't worry. If you still want to marry this guy in a few years, the two of you have got something great!

There is no set age. You should get married when you are mature. When you know yourself and what you want out of life. I waited until 24 because I wanted to live by myself and prove that I didn't need anyone to "take care of me". I chose to get married to someone I wanted to spend my life with. Not because I had to but because I wanted to. Just take the time to figure out what's important to you. lol
