This could be caused by a number of things...stress, a bite, age, alergies, a flea collar or medication, dry skin, ringworm, and many other medical issues.

Your best bet is to take her to a vet and have him look at it. I wouldn't wait to take her either. This way if it is something that needs to be treated, it doesn't get worse while you are waiting to see if it goes away.

There isn't a whole lot of information to go on in your question, so here goes...
Ringworm (actually a fungal infection of the skin) can cause hair to fall out in a circular pattern and the skin underneath can look kind of 'pinkish'. It is common during the fall and can be brought in on your clothing or hands. This can be contageous to people and can itch like crazy! If she is scratching at it, ringworm is a distinct possibility.
Insect bites can cause hair to fall out. Spiders are especially bad during the winter for cats and dogs.
Some skin and immune system diseases can cause hair loss too.
I would give it a week or so (unless she starts laying around more than normal or stops eating or drinking) and then look at the spot again. If it has gotten larger, developed any scabs or if it looks like the skin is trying to die, take her to the vet. If the hair is growing back and she is acting normal and leaving it alone, don't cal the vet.
Hope this helps and good luck!!

Is she scratching at it? Are there any scabs? Is it only one patch? Possible causes run from allergies to eczema to ringworm. If it's only a single small patch and the skin looks normal (not red, scaly or bumpy) she could've caught the hair on something and pulled it out. If it lasts, spreads or changes appearance, check with your vet. Ringwork IS contagious to humans so wash your hands thoroughly after touching her and keep her off beds, pillows, etc. that touch bare skin. My cat gets bare patches from eczema and we give her fish oil (from capsules) in her food. It works great for this.

Does your cat wear a collar for identification or flea prevention. The chemicals in flea prevention collars may cause loss of hair on the neck, they should not be left on for too long a period. Removing the collar will allow the hair to grow back. Of course it problem may be fleas themselves, stress, or some parasite or other condition. Take him to your vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Could be ringworm. Get a Vet to check her to be sure and so she can be treated. Ringworm is actually a fungal infection and it is contagious.
