I remember the first Christmas after my husband died. I did not live around any family members and could not take off work to be with them. I ended up working on Christmas and it was the best thing for me to do to even though I had no choice in the matter. If you can be with other family members or loved ones then it is good to do so, they will help take your mind off your troubles especially if they are a lively bunch. Decorate your house, listen to Christmas music, watch Christmas movies or programs, and visit family and friends throughout the Christmas season. Don’t be alone to drown yourself in your grief but surround yourself with others and remember that your life must go on. It will be all right and will get better as time goes on. Each Christmas and holiday gets a little easier to bear.♥

I always light a candle to celebrate their life and remember the good times. it's weird but having that candle on christmas doesn't make me feel so alone. all the best, hope you can at least partially enjoy your christmas. Just remember your loved one would want you to enjoy yourself. I know it's hard.

First, let me say how sorry i am for your loss. Time will not heal
as some people say, but it will slowly get better. Keep yourself
busy that day and try to dwell on the postives of their life, and
the happy things you had with them. May God Bless you in these
trying times.
