I'm not exactly sure what you mean. A better person than what? What does she think of you now? Are her expectations too high? I don't know if you are male or female and what age you are but that would make a difference in my answer. Sometimes you just can't please mothers and nothing you do or say will make any difference. If you are a good person and do things to the best of your ability then that should be good enough for her. It sounds like you need to talk this over with your mom, a counselor, a good friend, a minister, or another family member that you respect and trust. Good luck.

i agree.. It doesn't mean much if you tell people you are a better person, or a good person, whether it's your mom, or anyone else.
You have to do things differently than you used to. They will notice very quickly, and might not even say anything at first, but they will be glad to see the new you in action.

Don't try to convince your mother because she's not going to notice until she's ready. Just worry about self improvement within yourself. In fact, don't ever try to prove yourself to anyone because they will still look for the faults.

The best way to show anyone that you have changed you need to show them and it will take time. Someone is not just going to believe that you or anyone for that matter has changed overnight. Let her see to believe.
