I caught a little tadpole I put him in a dish I thought he would stay there like a little fish but I guess he did'nt like it and did'nt want to stay for he grew himself a set of legs and hopped himself away....

that is a cute poem, did you make this up or did you see this in a book. if you made this up you could publish your poems in children's books. but don't let any one else see any more they might still your ideas. in less you want our advice!

It's not bad for a start but the rhyme scheme is little off.
You should organize it into stanza form and try adding a couple of words so it will flow more easily. Like this:
I caught a little tadpole
And I put him in a dish
I thought that he would stay there
Just like a little fish
But I guess he didn't like it
And he didn't want to stay
For he grew himself a set of legs
And hopped himself away
