-Only those who hide behind the church and replace God by taking God's place. Judge not that though shalt be judged. These people you speak of are violating the first commandment and the very fabric of their religion will be torn away from their feet when they least expect it! Their church will be destroyed and they will not know what to do. They will be considered outcast in their own regimes of power and glory as they will be revealed for who they are by the people they punish and torment through their pompas arrogance and inconsideration.

The Bible belt has a lot of Protestant fundamentalists. And most of them wrongly think that Catholics are evil and are going to Hell. This is very un-Christian like of them especially since Catholics are the first Christians, and Protestants got their Bible and the basics of their doctrine from the Catholic Church.
So I think that answer could be yes depending on the area and the people.

no,
In any city or even a big down their is no way of knowing and often people dont care.
you might find this occasionally if you decide to live in in a rural farm town with 300 people and everyone knows each other and they all belong to the same one or two churches. That exists btw everywhere in America.

Yes ! In some small towns that I know of, if you don't attend any of the churches then you are outcast by all, not only that, but gossip and rumors will be spread about you

There is a certain network I have heard of that operates in this manner.
The problem is, you don't know if that is the reason why you weren't hired. Employers aren't obligated to provide you with a reason if you don't get hired.

That's silly. I moved from Michigan to Georgia and I'm in a very christian based community. There is no basis for thinking that. People need workers and they hire them based on their ability to work and their skill, not their religeous affiliation or lack there of.

No. Fortunately some of us are educated, gainfully employed atheists. The fact that I am Atheist has little bearing on my life even though it is well known among my friends, neighbors and associates.
