Hello. I need help! I had a file on my laptop that was saved as a .wps. I then got MS Word installed and deleted the MS Works program and now I cannot open my file. Is there anyone out there who would be kind enough to open it and email it back to me as a rtf or doc file? Email me if you can. My email address is cbtis41@yahoo.com

Before you send the file to anyone, Microsoft has a converter that may work for you. You can get it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b9e11e83-f51b-4977-b572-8c042df802c1&displaylang=en

That way you don't need to send the file to anyone.

I think Word can actually open a .wps document. Choose File, then Open. In the file type block it should list all types of files including MS Works. Open it, then save it as a Word doc. Best of luck

Download and install Open Office. It can open .wps, .doc and many other (more than MS Word) types of files.
