If those kids are not Asians then you are different from them. At least different in some outward facets. The why is philosophy. Too big a subject to tackle here. Suffice it to say, if you are a decent human, developing a pleasant personality, concerned about others and the world you live in, the fact that a few odd persons look at you in "that way" can be set into proper perspective. They are the losers.

I don't think most people view racism towards asians the same way they do others. A white being racist to a black is bad because of the slavery, a black being racist to a white is bad because it enforces bad stereotypes. Both ways are something the media love, and any hint of racism between blacks and whites, it's in the papers and on the news. However, for some reason, racism against asians isn't treated the same. You wont read it in the paper everyday like you do black/white racism. People also seem to think it's not so much as a bad thing to say racist things about us asians. A lot of Asians themselves tend not to react to it, they just keep quiet, so that's less attention to the racism, and more reason for people to continue on with it. It's not nice, especially when you're a kid. Most of the other kids think it's perfectly fine to pull back their eyes in front of you for a laugh. You shouldn't feel as though your friends can only be asian. I'm asian, and I have black and white friends. Just keep in mind that most people are decent, accepting people and wont judge you on your race.

well at are school a lot of people are Asian since I go to school in Hawaii. but i can tell you that Asians do look differently from everyone else making them unique but aren't we all unique since were all of different races. if they do anything other than just staring at Asians like harrasing them you should tell a staff member at your school because that would be racism.

Maybe they haven't seen a lot of Asian kids in their lifetime, this is just ignorance of another culture or race. Or maybe they have been raised in racist homes. Kids learn from what they see.

Well i like Aisans.. there nice :P I like the Japanese culture also. But when i was little they would always make fun of them. I never knew why, but this is my guess. Maybe they think their look and how they talk is weird.. Or maybe they are just jelouse.
