I made a big batch of fudge on Sunday night and currently have it in my fridge covered in foil. I intend to take it when I travel home this weekend. It seems to be hard as rock in there. Will it still be ok by this weekend? This is the first time I have ever made fudge and I haven't tasted it yet to see if it is even any good (I poured it into disposable foil pans that I will wrap and gift).

You should store fudge wrapped in an airtight container at room temperature to avoid it getting too hard or acquiring funky odors from other foods in your fridge. If you didn't wrap it tightly enough, it may be dried out. I would take a little taste of it so you know whether you'll need to make a new batch.

When you take it out and get it back to room temp and you take the first nibble and it feels like uncooked sugar against your teeth, you've just proved that fudge should not be in the refrigerator, moisture and chocolate (fudge) do not mix. The only thing that's getting hard in that fudge is the butter fat in the chocolate

Sure you can alot of people do, i myself dont like to. It goes a little hard after a short while, i dont like that.
Once you get it back out, it might soften up some.
