I mean if you don't let it touch anything. I seen people go into public bathrooms with coffee or food, just to acompany someone else. I always get the impression you can get germs from the smell? Pretty nasty.

If we could get germs from the smells...we'd be getting sick every time we went into the bathroom. Some people have strong stomaches. I for one can eat in my bathroom at home, but wouldn't DREAM of it in a public bathroom.

And I don't know where you brush your teeth at, but I brush mine in my bathroom and if what you say is true, shouldn't I be getting sick from doing that?

there are no airborne germs from stool or urine, otherwise people would get sick just from breathing in the bathroom. although it is kinda gross bringing in food/drink into a public restroom (ewwwww)

I don't know of any airborne from fecal matter. But come on, you have to touch something. The door or something. Why take the chance especially with e. coli being a danger.
