As Christians we are supposed to be a light in the world, well someone told me once that lights aren't supposed to be noisy...just bright. So just walk in Christ's footsteps, and don't be preachy or judgmental of others because it will turn them off.

If you have been a Christian for a long time, you should know enough about the Bible to know what to say. Also I am surprised you have not witnessed yet. How long did you say you have been a Christian? There is no step by step instructions in witnessing, because everyone is different and not all are going to react in the same way. You will know this as you talk to people and they will either be interested or not interested. If they are, talk to them, but if they are not and tell you no, then like the Bible says, walk away and brush the dust off your feet.

The first step is to really know the truth about what the Bible says:
1.) What is God's name?
2.) What is his purpose for the earth?
3.) Why does he permit wickedness?
4.) Who is Jesus Christ?
5.) What is the theme of the Bible?
6.) What is hell?
7.) Does the soul survive death?

When you can answer these basic Bible questions and use several scriptures to back up your beliefs on each one, you are probably ready to start talking to others. Be gentle and don't take on an air of superiority, but rather, know that the person you are speaking to probably doesn't know the answer to more than one or two of these questions and even the ones they think they know, they probably can't back up with scripture. Try to be conversational and yet, realize that this is a tremendous responsibility and it could mean not only this person's life, but yours as well. Then, pray and ask God for his spirit and his direction and approach someone. Usually it is best to start with a friend or family member. Sometimes, you can even do it unsuspectingly by asking them if they will help critique your new presentation. Be brief, but always back up your information with scripture--that way God is teaching, not you. Enjoy. You will find you learn more by researching and teaching others than you ever learned just trying to teach yourself. If anytime, you don't know the answer to a question, admit it and offer to find out. That is much better than guessing or giving incorrect information. If all else fails, ask a Jehovah's Witness for help. It is their life's work and they are quite knowledgeable about the Bible as well. May God bless all your efforts to do His will.

First, I would go to this web site and order some Tracts:

http://www.gnpcb.org/catalog/salvation/tracts

(Please get only ones that are from the KJV Bible)

Familiarise yourself with what the tracts say. And then get out there and lead some souls to the Lord. I give tracts to cashiers, waitresses, the guy who pumps my gas. I leave them in public rest rooms and I insert them into waiting room magazines. And I tell every body what God has done for me and my life.
