I attend all parent meetings, (not parent/teacher conferences), I am on the parent advisory board, and I volunteer in my childs pre-school classroom. (I have one in pre-school and one in Kindergarten)

My children are too young to have fundraisers yet, but I will be actively involved in those when the time comes.

I'm the homeroom mom in my sons 1st grade class. I get to plan the parties and by all the supplies for them. It works for me because I have two other children at home and I can still be involved in his school without having to stress about what to do with my other children.

My young ones are in 2d and 4th now. In kindergarten I volunteered sometime each and every week to assist in the type. the better they get the fewer the lecturers want weekly volunteers (based on the lecturers), yet they love help with field journeys, type events, etc. I additionally labored the popcorn Fridays, listening to testing, Jog-A-Thon days etc. final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days I went to artwork at my young ones college by using fact my youngest became in college all day and that i ought to make funds and artwork their hours. and that i myself miss with the ability to hitch all that. I nonetheless get to do some field journeys yet no longer all of them, however the money is spectacular and the assurance has been a life saver and back I artwork their hours so i'm working yet no longer loosing time with them. i did no longer circulate so a strategies as PTA by using fact it does tend to get catty or communities like severe college young ones, and that i don't have time for that and is no longer area of that style of habit, it particularly is spectacular what number females have not out grown that whilst adults. upload: i did no longer state i became a SAHM mom till my youngest became in 1st grade. it relatively is how I had the time and adaptableness to assist with in spite of the college had going. working mothers and fathers shouldn't beat themselves up over the volunteering project, do what you are able to and sense good approximately that.

I've been a class parent 4 times (taking a year off now!). It's a good way to get to know the other parents and kids.
