haha, god, you are new in this..... first rule, don't ask for actions. They will come naturally if there are mutual feelings. Reading others emotions is a skill, no, I like to think of it as a virtue. Why are you thinking of a kiss or a hug? You should be thinking of how to get her to be your gf! When you present to her the gift, start analyzing her reactions, if they are positive, directly tell her that you have feelings for her. I know u will be very nervous, but that sentence HAS to come out some day. Don't think of trying to maintain the friendship or things like that, if the both of you are mature enough, even if a special relationship does not happen, you will STILL be friends. Good luck!

don't ask for a kiss. When the mood is right you will know when to kiss her. But just try to sit close and suttlely let her see you like her. then maybe before parting ask if you can give her a hug goodbye. Let her know sweetly that you like her.

I would lean in for a hug and see how she reacts. If you feel like she would be receptive, then say to her, something about the moment feeling right and that you would really like to kiss her.

well just go for the hug. its innocent. then try to get your lips close to hers but not quite kissing. maybe she'll get the idea and kiss you. if she doesnt, dont be upset because maybe she didnt get the hint. you can try again when you part for the night

Don't ask. just give her a hug and while you hug her work your way for a kiss as you let go of her from your shoulder.

if she doesn't see you in that way, i'd probably chuckle at that friend and assume that's a joke. and if i didn't see him that way, i wouldn't want him to lean in for a kiss. i'll hug them for the gift regardless though. that's not too bad

dont ask just do it! who asks for a kiss? just stand under some misletoe or under the stars and kiss her.

Just do it, asking might cause her embarrassment, and then you might accidently take it for something else.
