He was more than likely abused by an adult, at some time in his life. He has a serious distrust towards adults, and the only way to help him, is by introducing him ... in a slow and gentle manner, to your friends. Put it this way ... if you were abused by a police officer, and they kept coming into your home, uninvited, on a regular basis ... would you not distrust and dislike them? This is probably how your cat is feeling.

Did You adopt him from the pound? If you did thats great. At some time in this cats life he may have had abuse and the people that come into your house may remind him of this. It could be a simple thing as a gesture that they do with their hands, their perfume, and so many other things. Just be patient with him and when people come over for now I would put him in another room. But most of all let him know that you love him.

on the grounds that they shop calling the law enforcement officers for the dogs fidgeting with the cats suitable? If its commencing as much as harass you call the law enforcement officers and notice how the friends sense approximately having the law enforcement officers suggested as on them. in case you do no longer desire to try this circulate over to the friends abode with some cookies or tarts and have a communicate or debate or some style of verbal substitute appropriate to the cats getting into your backyard and in the event that they at the instant are not confident then the two circulate or locate out how they are stepping into.

maybe he's feeling unsafe when facing adults, he was just trying to defend himself...maybe you need to exposed him to the environment, like going for a walk..maybe he'll get used to people and stop being so agressive....you could spent a lot of time with him and some other adults and play together..or bring guests with cats like a party or gathering with many cats and adults..

Cats are much like children so they need to be treated as such.
I suggest sternly looking at him and saying "Now I'm going to count to ten...One...Two....Three"....e... cetera.
The cat will probably just look at you, like a child would, so when you arrive to "ten" you have to show her that you mean business.
Begin counting again, only this time preface it with "I really mean it this time! One....Two....Three.....".et cetera. This may or may not yield the desired result.
If not you need to say, "I'm only going to do this one more time" and begin the count again.
If after reaching "Ten" again with no improvement, you need to step things up a notch.
Say, "Ok then, you're on a time-out! You will sit in the corner, not moving for 10 minutes!" After 24 seconds the cat will begin to move at which time you should start the count to ten again.
This should work well as it's the exact system developed on Broadway in New York. Have you seen the stage play Cats? Those are real cats who were trained with the above technique.
Let me know how it works.

Your cat is crazy and only likes you. What can I say your cat is use to you and you only.He feels everyone else is invading his space.Maybe when company over you should hold him and pet him while the company is there that way he knows everything is okay.Cat don't like other people in their territory, we deal with cats like that at the vet all the time. That's him expressing his distress and discomfort.
Good Luck

Your kitty is possessed!
Seriously, though! Once a cat is familiar with another (not regular human or Sasquatch), it will begin to calm down! This may take weeks or even months.
Me thinks we need to consult a 'Cat Whisperer' here!

How old is your cat? and what is his background? was he adopted or have you had him since he was a kitten? Also, does he seem to attack male adults more or female adults more?
