In my experience, the best way to lose weight has been the atkins diet. I lost the weight steadily, and I was able to make mistakes without it setting me back. The good thing about atkins is you don't have to be perfect. Also if you are not much into exercise it won't hurt either, you only "need" to exercise when you hit a plateu. If you want to be an involved dieter and go to the gym everyday and stick to a strict diet etc - go the normal route and speak to a trainer. However if you're a lazy dieter like me, the atkins diet is the way to go. I lost 40 pounds in a short period of time and have had relatively no problems keeping it off for a year and a half. Good luck in whatever diet you choose! Also I suggest, whatever diet you choose, to join a diet forum. A forum with other people in the same boat as you definately keeps you motivated, or it does for me.

There really isn't a "best" way but their is a "safe" way. Rapid weight loss leads to tissue break down in muscle and bone without discerning your heart.
Safe weight loss means you use a tape measure and NOT a scale as it does not way bone and muscle. Then, you eat foods that increase bone and muscle and lead the bad fat out of the body. Walking briskly every day gives your metabolism the message to speed up naturally which will also burn extra calories.

You can eat a balanced diet and drink a lot of water. I know I wanted to lose weight for my sister's wedding and the pounds just wouldn't drop so I went to the gym like 3 times a week for like 5 months and lost 20 pounds so I was happy.

The best way to loose weight is by exercising. This gives the body the best treatment it can get. Also count your calories in this way you do not eat excess which will just be stored in the body.

In my personal experience/drink a lot of water/cut back on dairy products & junk food/try and get a little extra excersise, like even walking to the corner store instead of taking the car, don't eat too much 'carb's (they turn into sugar) & you know the key factor is! Get enuff rest!! you need sleep! it balances your body metabolism, I know it sounds wierd, but it is true! I went from a size 14 to a size 7 in about 8 months, by trial & error..Good Luck!

Start an exercise program. Slow down your eating . Eat less, Eat better, Don't eat snacks. Did I mention exercise? That's the bottom line. The pills you read about and see on TV don't work. Nutrition and exercise are the answer.
