I am using a kettle made up of plastic. I want to know ehether it will emit carcinogens on heating?

I am using a kettle. The make is GEEPAS. I think it is made up of plastic. I dont know the kind and quality of that plastic. I heard that repeated washing and rinsing can cause the plastic to break down and the carcinogens(harmful cancer causing chemical agents) can leak into the water that we are drinking. can anyone help me in this regard?

You can't wash a kettle. Don't know about the carcinogenic elements, Check with the manufacturer or look online. Good luck

You won't get a proper answer to this. The reseach is too well funded by the manufactuers, If any tweed wearing unversity bod produces a report that says its dangerous, the manufacturers will throw 10 times the money to produce a report refuting the first claim.

Its approved for sale in the UK, generally speaking thats all you need to know.

I guess it is possible but if you are worried then change the container and use the plastic one for something you don't eat or drink.

I don't know about using hot liquids in it but I do know if you use any kind of plastic in the microwave, it gives off toxins, etc.
