~Try drinking warm milk and honey with cookies (Milk contains tryptophan which helps you sleep and it works best when you have carbohydrates (starchy food like cookies or bread) in your stomach.
~Take a warm bath with lavender oil or salt
~Listen to relaxing music
~Read a boring book
~Drink a cup of Chamoille tea
~If you really can't sleep don't just lay in bed. Get up, otherwise you will feel stressed about falling asleep.
~Concentrate on "not" thinking. Often this focusing activity itself will soothe you to sleep
~Or try playing the alpahabet game-Think of a subject like tv show names or actors and see if you can think of one for each letter of the alphabet. I rarely make it to K before I am asleep

Warm milk! I could never do it because it tastes nasty, but I heard it works.

I read a boring book or watch CSPAN for a few minutes. Heh!

But honestly, i pretend my body is full of blue liquid and it is slowly draining out starting with my toes. I have a sleep CD that taught me that, it it works every time!!

I'm asleep by the time I get to my chest.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

-warm milk
-tylenol PM
-masturbate
-exercise in the morning or after work; you will fall asleep at night if you work out during the day. Don't work out right before going to sleep, because it increases your heart rate, which will keep you awake
-read a book

Drink warm milk. My grandmother always made me drink warm milk every night. I hated having to drink that whole big giant glass of warm milk. It probably worked in putting me to sleep, I don't have any memories of insomnia growing up.

If you want to fall asleep, I have the solution, but you HAVE to follow it:
close your eyes, and think about NOTHING. If that requires you to say over and over "think about nothing, think about nothing" then only say that. You can also focus on the black you see when your eyes are closed. Don't let any images enter into your mind, or any other thoughts other than 'think of nothing, look at the black". in no time, you'll be asleep.

Take a hot shower or bath. Your body temp goes up and as it cools back down - it thinks you're headed to hibernate or something. always helps me.
