Got two more months to go.
packing.org says up to 3 months.

Check http://www.Opencarry.org - they have data for all of the states.
Oops. Open carry. Duh. FL doesn't have open carry.

Here it is: http://www.packing.org/state/florida/

After hearing this stuff I am glad I live in Indiana had mine in 2 weeks and I applied for it a week after 9/11. It is a 4 year permit. Now we have life time permits. Getting a permit here goes like this you walk in to the PD and say I would like a gun permit and that say no problem have a Set, fill out this form, pay us $35.00, we will call you when it comes in and for $15.00 a year you can use our shooting range.

I received my Florida permit in a little less than a month. Give it a couple more weeks and then call them. Your instructions tell you this clearly.

As long as you are not a convicted felon or otherwise disqualified, (mental illness, etc.), you had your electronic fingerprints done, sent in a certificate from your course and you paid with a good check, they "shall issue."

Chill out dude. They will get to you. check out packin.org.

I live in CT and filed on Oct. 10 with no results yet. Here it can take 4 months. But we will wait and we will get our permits. They last for life as long as we renew them. That considered, it isn't that long to wait.

It might take some time. It took mine 2 months to come in. I am glad I sent it up before my old one expired. Still was some lapse since they wouldn't let me send it in too much in advance of my old one expiring.

they say three or more months for a response. Mine took the "more". Be patient, it'll get there. Check the web site. I don't have it on me but e-mail me back if you need it.
