Well, it's now or never. Make that effort to say that you miss him terribly and tell him that you'd like to spend some time with him before his move; maybe go out to a movie or lunch? Or if you cannot say it - write a note to him.

It does sound like he likes you, especially if your friend says he told her he does. I totally know where you're coming from on the matter of what would happen to your friendship if you broke up. I think as long as you two have strong feelings for each other, your friendship is running a risk anyway if you DON'T get together. Eventually someone will get tired of the pain of yearning for a close friend and will give the friendship up. Sad, but true most of the time. Besides, I JUST broke up with my boyfriend two days ago and it sucks because we were friends first, but I can tell you that I do not regret the relationship at all. I have learned a lot from it. im in the same boat as you girlfriend except my guy friend isnt moving. your kind of in a better position though. heres why. i say since you shy (i am too) you write him a letter telling hi how you feel. dont go on and on though, short and sweet is good. say like life is short, and this letters even shorter; i think you're a great friend and an amazing guy and i want to be more than friends if you feel the same way.

if he says no, at least he will be away from you. it may be hard, but in the long run it will be better if hes gone so you arent thinking about him constantly. if he says yes, then you are a lucky girl that he likes you and wont be too sad hes so far.
