Digital pictures don't get developed in the same sequence as in a film camera. I don't know of any film cameras which will allow you to see a digital image before taking the picture, but many single Lens reflex film cameras ( and all double lens reflex, like Rolleiflex) display the image on a screen on back of the camera. It is not digital, and can't be "stopped" like a digital, but you can use it for composing.
Digital pictures are stored on a media called a memory stick, or card. The cards can be removed and used at the photo shop to print only the photos that you select. or, you can load the pictures directly into your PC, and then upload them to a photo processor ( such as Walgreens, or Walmart) for developing. This is so fast that you can upload the ones you choose, at home, get in your car, run down to your friendly drug store, and pick up your pictures for less than you'd pay for having the film processed!
For permanence, your digital images need to be saved on some media other than the card in the camera. This can be your hard disc drive, a thumb drive, or CD-R. Once removed from the camera's memory, the images are "gone"

Yes - get a digital camera!!! I have had 3 cameras now, and I never print the copies myself. There are a couple of ways to get your pics printed....one is to take them to Wal-Mart or Target or most any store like that. You can put them on a CD or just take your camera in and download the pics at the store. And you can pick just the ones you want to print, not wasting money printing ones you don't like. The other way is upload them to one of the several internet sites that do photo "developing". I use the link below. You just log on, get a free account, upload your photos from your camera, and order with ones you want printed. Then you pay a per photo price, printing again only those you want to see, and they send them to you in the mail. Very simple, and very fun.

I myself have a digital camera. It is awesome. You can always delete the pics that you don't want to develop. As for not having a printer, any photo shop will develop them for you.

I went to Spain about 7 yrs ago and burned 18 rolls of film. I developed them and maybe 50% was usable. Digital gives you the ability to see the photos in real time and take them again (and again) if you don't like them. We recently went to Hawaii and I took over 3000 photos with my digital rebel. And you can take volumes more photos with memory being so cheap now...you print what you want and don't get charged a small fortune to develop crap!
try snapfish.com they charge around $0.12 per 4x6 print

all digital camera must have a connection for putting onto a computing gadget, both interior the style of a USB cable or detachable memory card to position in a card reader. Which digital camera to purchase relies upon on what style of imagery you opt for to do, and your funds. My propose may be to get one with a sturdy Optical Zoom and as severe priced as you may discover the money for, do not continuously flow for the most inexpensive because the time-honored isn't there, i exploit Fuji fantastic pictures digital cameras and discover them tro be a sturdy stability of high quality and value for funds.
