Personally I find to make the choice to drink when underage is stupid. Only because drinking (for any age, legal, or not) leaves the drinker incapable of making good choices and decisions.
Moderation, is OK, but think of liability....if there's a car accident, even if you only "drank a little" it could be a last mistake you make before taking your, or a friends, or even a strangers life.

You only live once, I always thought it was more fun and exciting to drink when I was underage. Never knowing when you'll get caught, takign a risk. Walking onto the darkside. Something like that... However, there are limits. Don't wake up in the morning having no idea where you're at and wonder why your pants are missing.

I approve of underage drinking as long as it is supervised by responsible parents as it is most countries in Europe and Asia.
My parents always had the children drinks small amounts of wine and beer at lunch and/or dinner while we were growing. But getting drunk was never, NEVER an option.

Well, since I was one at one point, I can't tell you not to do it. I can, however, say, drink in moderation and never, ever, get behind the wheel of a car. I lost a few friends that way in one accident in high school (I wasn't in the car). If nothing else, call your parents to come get you. I'm sure they would rather hear you had been drinking rather than ear you had been killed in an accident.

Just because something is illegal does not ALWAYS make it immoral. But it also doesn't mean that those who think it is immoral should impose their point of view on those with differing opinions.
Personally, I don't think that there is anything wrong with allowing your children a small amount of dilute wine with holiday meals. As long as they're supervised and a good example is set for them, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.
On the other hand, parents who get drunk with their children, even teaching them binge drinking card games, shouldn't be allowed to have children. They're obviously not responsible enough themselves to set a good example for their children.

I never drank until I was out of high school, and that was only because I went to Hawaii and my cousins took ,me to alot of parties. I don't think that kids should drink but if they are going to I think they should be at least 18 and staying in 1 place and not drinking with with other peoples kids.

been there, done that. it's not harmful if you're smart and keep from getting to puke level (and, of course, don't do anything you shouldn't do under the influence). but i do think it's illegal, could get you in a lot of trouble and, especially underage, you're prone to doing things you could very well regret in the future.
